Inner Teaching

Meditation: Inner Teaching

Mystical knowing.

Mystics among us.

Be still and know.

anthony glenn miller

I will tell you what wisdom is and how she came to be, and I will hide no secrets from you, but I will trace her course from the beginning of creation, and make knowledge of her clear, and I will not pass by the truth.

Wisdom 6:22

Meditation: Whole

A knowing of oneness. At one with all. Knowing wholeness.

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

Matthew 6:22

Meditation: Wealth

What is true wealth? How do you measure what it means to be a success?

Know the way of compassion. Know the way of patience. Know the way of kindness.

Know true wealth. Know love. Be love. Be light.

anthony glenn miller

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8

Meditation: Inner-Shift

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Jesus the True Vine

I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:1-5

Ending 2013

Endings. Beginnings. Modern Technology. Timeless Wisdom.  Yesterday I went online to find contact information on a friend from graduate school.  We’ve had rare contact since grad school but communicated from time to time around holidays or special events (births, deaths, job changes, etc.).  Without his current e-mail or phone number I found his information online.  Well, actually I found his obituary online.  He died in September of this year (2013).  Our last phone conversation was difficult.  My present communication with him now requires no technology.  Nevertheless, with this technology, I say, thank you Douglas for the beauty you brought to my life and the lives of so many. Who matters to us?  What matters to us? The time is always now to live fully into the present moment. The time is always now to cultivate the relationships with family, friends, strangers, the earth and especially with those most immediately before us on our present path. This need not be overwhelming.  One day at a time.  Tend to the here and now.  Some relationships are best left alone.  Other relationships need our immediate attention. Wisdom instructs us in how to navigate all things.  In stillness and silence we hear the voice of wisdom. Blessings to you as we end one year and enter a new one. Let wisdom, love, forgiveness and gentleness be your guide. Endings. Beginnings. Namaste.

The person who is truly wise and kind
leaves nothing to be done,
but the one who only acts
according to the nation’s law
leaves many things undone.

Chapter 38 – Tao Te Ching

Two Kinds of Wisdom

Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not be boastful and false to the truth. Such wisdom does not come down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disorder and wickedness of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.

James 3:13-18

Dreams can awaken us to the Truth.

Be the authenticity you desire to experience.

There are no earthly leaders coming to rescue us.  There are no earthly governments coming to rescue us.

The Kingdom of Heaven is in your midst.  The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.

In stillness, listen.  In silence, awaken.  In solitude, know.

To rule a country,
one must act with care,
as when frying the smallest fish.

Chapter 60 – Tao Te Ching

Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones are tyrants over them. It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:25-28
