Meditation: Where?

In the midst of a busy life, where are you going? In the midst of the worries and willfulness, joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain, will you slow down or stop long enough to focus on what really matters? Keep death daily before your eyes. As we embrace the fact of our mortality, we open the door to encounter the reality of eternal life.

Where are you going? Go within. Meditate. Then, bring forth the riches of the Great Spirit.

Discover the  pearl of great price. Welcome home.

anthony glenn miller

When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, What are you looking for? They said to him, Rabbi (which translated means Teacher), where are you staying?  Jesus said to them, Come and see. They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day.

John 1:38-39

Meditation: Recluse

Beyond the busy.

Beyond the world of muchness.

Into great silence.

anthony glenn miller

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

 Secret Place

Meditation: Secret Place

Dwelling in the secret place.

Dwelling in the place of struggle.

Dwelling in the place of peace.

Offering your light and peace to all.

anthony glenn miller

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1

Life in the Spirit

Meditation: Life in the Spirit

A discipline of solitude.

A discipline of silence.

A devotion to loving-kindness towards all that lives.

A life in the Great Spirit.

anthony glenn miller

When she, the Spirit of Truth comes, she will guide you into all the truth. She will not speak on her own.  She will speak only what she hears, and she will tell you what is yet to come.

John 16:13

Meditation: Freedom

Freedom is not free.

Inner freedom comes from within.

Discovering the place within.

The place to be. Being free in the midst of it all.

anthony glenn miller

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

Meditation: Authenticity

One can only be true to one’s self if we’re able to know the true self. Babies and animals model spontaneity and play as a window into authentic living. Too much reflection can block the expression of our true self.  Paul Simon (Simon and Garfunkel) wrestled artfully with true communication, in contrast to the false self to which the majority bows and prays:

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said:
“The words of the prophets are
Written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence.”

Be still and know your true self. Be still and know in the silence. Emerge authentically, day by day.

anthony glenn miller

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

I Corinthians 13:12

Meditation: Quito

A sense of place.

A place to be with others and nature.

A inner and outer transformation.

A city.  A place. A passion for spiritual wholeness.

anthony glenn miller

You know the way to the place where I am going.

John 14:4

A Mother’s Love

Meditation: A Mother’s Love

All caregivers, who offer loving care, are worthy of honor. Mothers. Fathers. Sons. Daughters. Friends. Strangers. Nurses. Doctors. Teachers. Caregivers of all kinds. Cheers to all who offered themselves in loving service. Compassionate caregivers are a gift. Be a gift to someone.

anthony glenn miller

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.

Matthew 12:50

Energy – Inner G

Meditation: Energy – Inner G

Touching the inner world.

Offerings to the outer world.

Union with the divine.

Called to witness.

Healing through love.

anthony glenn miller

To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.

Colossians 1:29

Meditation: Language

Silence. Language.

Eternity. Time.

Stillness. Busy-ness.

anthony glenn miller

For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

John 3:34
