Meditation: Vibration

What are we and why are we here?

FLOW and VIBRATE in union with the ETERNAL SPIRIT.

Be an expression of LOVE and ETERNAL LIGHT.

anthony glenn miller

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

John 7:38

Meditation: Travel

What a lovely spirit the featured woman has in this video. The spirit of travel. The spirit of adventure. The spirit of embracing all kinds of people and places with lovingkindness.

We don’t have to physically start globetrotting to embrace the beauty of adventure and travel. I’ve experienced over 30 years of globetrotting. My globetrotting was paused when I began looking at monasteries – in the USA – where I could live out my life and explore the inward journey of the spirit. After my monastic journey, I became full-time caregiver to my Mom, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2015. My Mom passed on from this life to her next adventure in November 2018. She is with me always in my heart.

My adventures in monastic explorations is also dear to me. Just not as dear to me as my Mom. After exploring 4 different monastic communities, one thing became abundantly clear, institutional monasticism isn’t for me. Being told when to get up, when to go to bed, and being tied to daily imposed rituals isn’t my gig. Two monastic communities invited me to join their community. Two other religious communities invited me to go away. They each gave me a lovely gift of having a view into their lives and labors. Each community taught me multiple lessons. Such as; how to work in a jelly factory, laboring in a bakery, working in a homeless shelter, ministering in a local jail, how to live in close proximity to different personalities and thrive – to name just a few skills. Outside of the unique ways of ministering they offered, they  all had a form of regimentation that seems untrue to the original spirit of monastic life.

Original monastics were unfettered from the confines and dictates of regimentation imposed from a hierarchical structure. Originally, monastics were free spirits – like the woman in this video. Originally, monastics went alone into the desert – or some other wilderness terrain – to explore the inward journey of the spirit. Today’s monastics are like potted plants that are managed, confined, and defined by an institutional structure. Yikes.

Where is life calling you? Where is the Great Spirit inviting you to go.  More importantly, how is the Great Spirit calling you to be?  Not where to go, but how to be. As the saying goes, wherever you go, there you are. So, explore the inward journey. Explore being the best version of you. Then, wherever you go, you will bring your own special light.

Enjoy the inward journey. Be the light of lovingkindness, wherever you go.

The stranger has not lodged in the street;
I have opened my doors to the traveler.

Job 31:32

Silence & Stillness

Meditation: Silence & Stillness

In the stillness, listen.

In the silence, watch.

In the moment, awake.

anthony glenn miller

If only you would be altogether silent! For you, that would be wisdom.

Job 13:5

Silence III

Meditation: Silence

Overpopulation. Overproduction. Overconsumption. What does it take for individuals and society to come into balance with Nature? I capitalize the word Nature to draw attention to the fact that the natural environment is essential to our life. Only through the development of inner silence can we begin to evolve into beings transformed into a healthy consciousness that honors all Nature.

Enter the inner silence. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind and heart.

Be a loving presence towards all Creation. Live in balance with Nature. Enjoy the inner silence. Bring forth fruit worthy of a true change of mind and heart.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Revelation 21:1

Quiet V

Meditation: Quiet

A life unfettered.

A slow dance alone with all.

A life unbounded.

anthony glenn miller

But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

Psalm 131:2

Quiet III

Meditation: Quiet

Silent and knowing.

Knowing from the true center.

Centered in the LIGHT.

anthony glenn miller

Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.

Proverbs 17:1

Quiet I

Meditation: Quiet

Beyond the drama.

Letting go of the useless.

Honoring the ONE.

anthony glenn miller

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:

In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.

Isaiah 30:15

I Am Stillness

Meditation: I Am Stillness

Return. Rest. Revive. Renew.

Live at the center. Live at the margin. Alive in the Great Spirit.

Forward in stillness. Moving yet still.

anthony glenn miller

Better is a handful with quiet than two handfuls with toil, and a chasing after wind.

Ecclesiastes 4:6

The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouting of a ruler among fools.

Ecclesiastes 9:17

Stillness VII

Meditation: Stillness

A lesson in living well.  Inviting the stillness.

An introduction to the Eternal Way. Settling into the ONE..

A love of stillness. Being at ONE with the ALL ONE.

anthony glenn miller

The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

Isaiah 32:17

Stillness VI

Meditation: Stillness

The WAY of liberation. Stillness from within.

The TRUTH that simply is. Remaining in the stillness.

The LIFE that gives light to all. Abide in stillness.

anthony glenn miller

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

Isaiah 30:15
