Meditation: Watch & Pray

Watch and Pray. In other words, meditate.

The inner space of knowing. Knowing as I Am known. In this information culture, the path of the true is an inner work of knowing as we are known. Known by the Eternal One. One with the Eternal One.

The art of meditation. The art of living well.

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:41

Meditation: Watch & Pray

Be still. Watch and Pray.

Beyond religion, Spirit.

Be still. Know the ONE.

Jesus shared,

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:41

Meditation: Watch & Pray

Recently I simply sat and watched.

I watched the world go by outside my second story office window.

Pray for those passing by. Strangers. Yet one.

The sage of old was profound and wise;
like a person at a ford, he took great care,
alert, perceptive and aware.
Desiring nothing for himself,
and having no desire
for change for its own sake,
his actions were difficult to understand.
Being watchful, he had no fear of danger;
being responsive, he had no need of fear.
He was courteous like a visiting guest,
and as yielding as the springtime ice.
Having no desires, he was untouched by craving.
Receptive and mysterious,
his knowledge was unfathomable,
causing others to think him hesitant.
Pure in heart, like uncut jade,
he cleared the muddy water
by leaving it alone.
By remaining calm and active,
the need for renewing is reduced.

Chapter 15 – Tao Te Ching

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
