Meditation: Bridges

Who has been a bridge over troubled water for you? For whom will you be a bridge? The offering. The sacrifice. The ministry of presence. Be a bridge. As the Great Spirit leads, be a bridge.

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Charles Bridge, Prague

Meditation: Bridges

An early morning walk across the Charles Bridge in Prague is a beautiful way to absorb the distinct spirit of this city. While living in New York City, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge was one way I enjoyed celebrating various joys or working through certain challenges.

Life is full of bridges. In time we learn which bridge to cross and which to burn. Enjoy the journey.

that he does not fear what others fear,
but it is to the advantage of others
that they can enjoy the feast,
or go walking, free of hindrance,
through the terraced park in spring.
