Artists remind us of the importance of authenticity.  We’re all artists. The only difference is that some people are more awake to their artistry than others. Without doing harm to another, we’re daily called to offer the art that is our true self. Animals, small children and the rest of Nature know how to do this.  Spontaneity. Authenticity. Simplicity.  As we offer our true selves, we fulfill our purpose.  What might the world be like if for one year we all stopped talking?  Would violence decrease or increase? Would understanding of ourselves and others improve or get worse?  Most modern cities are far to noisy.  The noise of machines. Planes. Trains. Automobiles. Buses. Industry. Plus with the birth of cell phones we now have the noise of constant chatter. Add to this the visual noise of advertisements.  Plus the noise of news, entertainment, sports, social media and the glut of chatter from an information overload culture. To those who seek beauty, balance, wisdom and wholeness it’s time to unplug, breathe and journey into an inner silence.  The kingdom within.

In the stillness.  In the silence. A silent evolution calls. A deep knowing awaits.  Meet me in the silence. Enjoy the journey.

Nature’s way is to say but little;
high winds are made still
with the turn of the tide,
and rarely last all morning,
nor heavy rain, all day.
Therefore, when talking,
remember also
to be silent and still.

Chapter 23 – Tao Te Ching

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
    he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths
    for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
    I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff—
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    my whole life long.
