Jung and Personality

Meditation: Personality

Who are you? Are you living an authentic life? What would it mean for you to live into your true self? As we move into living an authentic life, we liberate ourselves and point the way for others to live the truth as well.

In silence. In solitude. Return to society with your true self.

Know yourself. Live free. Live and serve in truth.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

“Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

“Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

“For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Matthew 22:14

Kingdom of God

Meditation: Kingdom of God

The kingdoms of this world. In bondage. Broken.

The Kingdom of God. Living compassion.

Eternal Holy Spirit. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done.

anthony glenn miller

Strive first for the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:33

Class & Consciousness

Meditation: Class & Consciousness

Was business and economics meant to be at the center of our lives? The construction of class consciousness is an outgrowth of a way of understanding our relationships with others and all creation. Consider life. What defines you? How will you define yourself? Know the WAY.

anthony glenn miller

I searched with my mind how to cheer my body with wine—my mind still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, until I might see what was good for mortals to do under heaven during the few days of their life.

Ecclesiastes 2:3

Meditation: Nature

What is the natural WAY?

Listen. Learn. Love.

For those who seek the Light, in solitude and silence, the WAY is revealed.

anthony glenn miller

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made.

Romans 1:19-20

So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.

II Corinthians 4:16

Christ vs. Christianity

Meditation: Christ vs. Christianity

What’s the true way – that comes in many forms – that was  once rendered to the disciples of Jesus? How is modern Christianity in many of its forms – conservative, liberal, fundamentalists, etc. – a distraction from the true teachings of Jesus? The teachings of Jesus are beautiful. So called Christianity often has little to do with following the teachings of Jesus.

Hear the true WAY. Live the true WAY of LOVE.

anthony glenn miller

Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Philippians 4:8

Those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.”

John 3:21

Meditation: Meaning

What is the meaning of it all?  Does life have meaning or is it simply what we make it? One thing is for certain, how we treat ourselves, others, and our environment, matters. Learning to treat yourself, others, and the environment well adds to the quality of life for all creation. We make meaning by what we think, say, and do.

Love well. Serve well.

anthony glenn miller

Like a house in ruins is wisdom to a fool, and to the ignorant, knowledge is talk that has no meaning.

Sirach 21:18

Meditation: Wonder

Our face is a map of our journey. Do your eyes still twinkle at the wonder of it all? The sound of birds at dawn. The vesper light at the close of day. The mystery of friendship. In the midst of many dangers, toils, and snares, it’s still a wonderful world.

anthony glenn miller

Three things are too wonderful for me;
four I do not understand:
the way of an eagle in the sky,
the way of a snake on a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas,
and the way of a man with a girl.

Proverbs 30:18-19

I will call to mind the deeds of the Lord; I will remember your wonders of old.

Psalm 77:11

Meditation: Democracy

What is the best form of government? Only when individuals have embraced a higher consciousness will communities exercise a healthy form of government. Wisdom awaits those willing to be transformed by the renewing of their minds.

anthony glenn miller

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect

Romans 12:2

Inner Silence

Meditation: Inner Silence

The discipline of silence.

The discipline of living well.

The discipline of living in the light.

anthony glenn miller

Whoever belittles another lacks sense, but an intelligent person remains silent.

Proverbs 11:12

If you would only keep silent, that would be your wisdom!

Job 13:5

Meditation: Life

How does one make a meaningful life? Or, is life meaningful in and of itself? Each must find their own way by listening to the still small voice within.

In the Tao is life. Christ is the Tao. Be still and know.

anthony glenn miller

In Christ is  life, and the life was the light of all people.

John 1:4
