Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water.

Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it.

Chapter 78 – Tao Te Ching

  Water is soft.

Water is yielding.

Be soft.

Yielding. Soft. This is not the way of the world.

At the same time, it’s the soft and yielding nature of water that allows it to be tenacious, ferocious, and able to dissolve the hard and inflexible.

Jesus calls us to change, be baptized, immersed in a new life of the Spirit.

Gentle.  Tenacious.  Yielding.

Able to dissolve the hard and inflexible.

Be like water.
