What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a way of being attentive to the present moment. In this distracted age this is a worthy discipline. Mindfulness balances head, heart, and hands. What we think, feel, and do are brought into balance through mindfulness. Mindfulness fosters awareness in our thoughts, words, and deeds.
Mystics of every age affirm the primacy of the heart over the head. Awareness through the heart engages the gentleness of intuition, whispers of inspiration, and the fullness of integrity. We can’t think our way into wholeness. For a fully realized and integrated life we must follow our heart. As we follow our heart through paths of intuition, inspiration, and integrity we find our inner and outer worlds become a unified vision. We walk the talk. This is wholeness.
Here’s a wonderful link for an introduction to mindfulness:
As we learn to embrace stillness and silence with loving integrity we become a vehicle for sharing love and compassion with all. Embrace mindfulness. Embrace the light of love and compassion.
Slow is beautiful. Welcome to this journey of mindfulness.
