The Great Work

Meditation: The Great Work

What is the great work of your life? In other words, what is your purpose? Having a purpose that honors the betterment of ourselves and others is a beautiful thing.

Do no harm. Honor all life. Seek the WAY. Live the TRUTH. The GREAT WORK.

anthony glenn miller

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Pathless Path

Meditation: Pathless Path

Be willing to walk alone if that’s the cost of embracing the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.  Beyond preaching and overt teaching, be the LIGHT. What is needed is provided as we daily return to the center. LOVE and LIGHT are the CENTER.  Abide in LOVE.

anthony glenn miller

Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.

John 15:4

Higher Consciousness

Meditation: Higher Consciousness

Higher Ground. Is there a higher ground to be reached by listening to a higher power? Is it best to simply obey our senses? See it. Feel it. Taste it. Touch it. Smell it. There’s a beauty in thoughtful sacrifice and self-restraint that honors our life and the lives of others. Wisdom is written within us. The question is, are we accessing the Wisdom within? Here the voice of Wisdom. Return to the center through inner stillness and silence.

Each moment is pregnant with possibilities as we attend to the call to higher consciousness and Eternal Wisdom. Work from the Center. Work from Love. Reach higher ground.

anthony glenn miller

The respect  for  the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

Proverbs 4:7

Meditation: Now

Now is the time to love.

Now is the time to forgive.

Now is the time to fully live.

anthony glenn miller

Before I was humbled I went astray, but now I keep your word.

Psalm 119:67

Meditation: Philosophers

Philo (loving) + Sophia (wisdom). Philosophy, a word of Greek origins, literally means, the love of Wisdom. Within the perennial philosophy of the worlds great religions, WISDOM is at the center of those who lived a life of truth, justice, and love. Our culture honors technological progress and knowledge. Wisdom is barely acknowledged, except among the few.

Eternal Christ, the Way of Wisdom. Eternal Tao, the Way of Wisdom.

anthony glenn miller

If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.

James 1:5

Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn her seven pillars.

Proverbs 9:1

Meditation: Kant

What is the greatest need of our age? Right views and noble actions are the great need of every age. Seek and Center. Seek the True Way. Center yourself in the Eternal Light.

anthony glenn miller

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:6

Plumb Line

Meditation: Plumb Line

How do you measure the worth of your thoughts, words, and actions? What is worthy of your time and attention? To live a life worth living takes attention to the art of living well. What does it mean to live well? That depends on your consciousness, culture, and way of understanding life.

Listen for the voice of Eternal Wisdom. The voice that abides within you as you be still and know the Eternal One.

Hear the Truth. Live in love, Love is Truth.

anthony glenn miller

This is what he showed me: the Lord was standing beside a wall built with a plumb line, with a plumb line in his hand.

And the Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,

“See, I am setting a plumb line
in the midst of my people Israel;
I will never again pass them by…

Amos 7:7-8

Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

Matthew 12:18

Meditation: Aurelius

What do sages of the past teach us about the present? Our age is in need of contemplatives and those committed to right view and inner sight. Nurture the WISDOM within. Wisdom calls.

anthony glenn miller

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2

Meditation: Schopenhauer

How does one discern the right view from which to understand life? The Great Spirit leads those willing to be led. Be still and know.

anthony glenn miller

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:5-6

Respond in Joy

Meditation: Respond in Joy

Feelings. Response. Remembering.

Let feelings be. Respond in gentleness. Respond in joy.

Remember to stay centered in the Light and Life of the One True Source.

Love is the One True Source.

anthony glenn miller

Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

Ephesians 4:26

Make no friends with those given to anger, and do not associate with hotheads,

Proverbs 22:24

Those who are hot-tempered stir up strife, but those who are slow to anger calm contention.

Proverbs 15:18
